The Dutch CV is written with a clear, objective style, in chronological order and usually in just 1 page (A4 format). It basically consists of just facts and numbers. The reasons why the candidate is looking for a job and his or her skills for the position should be mentioned in the cover letter, not the CV.

What is a Dutch BV?

A private limited company, or in Dutch a besloten vennootschap (bv), is a legal entity. A private limited company’s equity is divided into shares that are owned by shareholders. They also hold ultimate power, but the company directors run the business on a day-to-day basis.

What is a CV company?

(Comanditaire Venootschaap) CV. The CV is a limited partnership having no less than two partners. One of the partners is a General Partner, while the other partners have the status of Limited Partners.
