When was the last time I had sinus surgery?

Wondering how long this is going to take. I had my sinus surgery 8 years ago because of chronic sinus infections. Recovery was awful. I was a pukey, bloody mess. The bright side is that I rarely get sick anymore. Headaches are fewer and farther between and when I get them, they’re less painful.

When to see an ENT about sinus surgery?

I have had sinus headaches for years and finally decided to see an ENT to determine what should be done. After having a sinus CT scan, the doctor suggested a course of antibiotics because of the amount of infection seen in the scan. After 12 weeks of 3 different antibiotics we decided that surgery would be the next step.

Is it possible to have a septoplasty after sinus surgery?

I had sinus surgery 3 weeks ago, sinuplasty, reduction of turbinate and a septoplasty done. Thought I would be good to go after two weeks. Not! I am still having facial pain, sinus congestion and fatigue. So much pressure in my nose and head, and flu like feeling especially in the afternoon. I went back to work for three days and gave up.

Are there any side effects of sinus surgery?

After 12 weeks of 3 different antibiotics we decided that surgery would be the next step. Overall the sinus surgery went well and my sinuses healed quickly. Unfortunately, I had swelling behind my eye which caused severe pain for weeks and the doctor has no idea why.

Is it safe to have endoscopic sinus surgery?

Before having the sinus surgery all my sinuses were almost completely blocked. I was unable to breathe at all through my nose and was getting significant sinus pressure and headaches at least a couple of times a month. For me the surgery was the best decision I ever made, recovery was shockingly easy.
